Rectangle Aquarium Sizes
The classic Rectangle acrylic aquarium is available in certain standard length (L), width (W) and height (H) combinations.
There are two versions of the standard rectangular aquarium in a large variety of L, W, H combinations:

The following are some of the features of Tenecor's Rectangular aquariums:
Standard Classic Rectangular models are made from 1/2", 3/8"' or 1/4" acrylic depending on footprint and height.
Standard Ultraquariums use 3/4", 1" or 1.25" acrylic depending on height and footprint size of the aquarium.
Tenecor features bent front corners on Rectangular models 72" long by 24" wide or less, allowing seamless viewing through the front and side panels.
Longer and/or wider Rectangle aquariums have square corners.
The lengths, widths and heights come in standard increments but as is clear from above table, the rectangle is one of the most versatile aquariums in terms of space requirements. In many cases there is a standard size that will fit in just about any location.
Fabrication flexibility and acrylic's color availability make the Rectangle the shape of choice for many applications:

All clear sides for all-around viewing.

Flat Back Hexagon Aquarium Sizes
The length (L) of the Flat Back Hexagon acrylic aquarium is measured along the back wall. The front wall is shorter than the back wall. Two sides come out from the back at 90 degrees and then are bent at a 45 degree angle to form the front and angled sides. In standard Flat Back Hexagon aquarium models the front-side panels are a continuous bent, seamless panel. Width (W) is measured at the center of the aquarium from front to back.

These aquariums are made from
1/2", 3/8" or 1/4" acrylic depending on
footprint and height. The Flat Back Hexagon
is almost always used as an "against a wall"

Bow Front and Teneview Aquarium Sizes
The Tenecor Teneview aquarium was one of the industry's first formed panel fish tanks. Tenecor introduced the Bow Front acrylic aquarium a few years ago and it has become on of our most popular models.
The length (L) of the both the Bow Front and Teneview acrylic aquarium is measured along the back wall. The two sides (end panels) come out from the back of the tank at 90 degrees and a continuous formed panel is bonded to the side panels.
• In the Teneview, the front panel "bows in" (concave) and the width (W) of the aquarium is measured at the ends (side panels) of the fish tank.
• In the Bow Front, the front panel "bows out" (convex) and the width (W) of the aquarium is measured at the center of the fish tank.

Customers frequently want to know the width
at the center of these acrylic aquariums in
comparison to the length of the sides.
This is sometimes referred to as the "bow in" for
the Teneview and the "bow out" for the Bow Front.
The standard models of both the Teneview and
Bow Front are made with the same oven forming tool.
The "bow in"/ bow out" for these two aquariums are as follows:
• 48" long Teneview "bow in" is approximately 2.5"; 48" long Bow Front "bow out" is approximately 2.5"

The length (L) or diameter of the Half Cylinder acrylic aquarium is measured along the back wall. The front is a continuous formed panel in a semi-circle shape. Width (W) is measured at the center of the aquarium and is the radius of the half circle.

The Half Cylinder is a popular new shape with its stunning long arc front panel. These aquariums are made from 1/2" or 3/8" acrylic depending on height.
Pentagon Aquarium Sizes
The Pentagon is a five sided tank and it is one of the classic acrylic aquarium shapes for placement in the corner of a room. Length (L) and width (W) are measured on the two side panels and the L and W are the same length in standard Pentagon models. The front viewing section is a continuous bent panel, bonded to the two sides. The two short sections of the front viewing panel of the aquarium come out from the sides at a 90 degree angle. The longest front viewing panel is approximately the same length as the 90 degree sides.

Standard Pentagon aquariums are made from 3/8" or 1/2" acrylic depending on size and height. The Pentagon is popular for coral reef aquariums due to its large footprint, particularly in the 36" and 48" models.
Quarter Cylinder Aquarium Sizes
The Quarter Cylinder is one of Tenecor's most popular aquariums for a corner. Like the Pentagon fish tank, length (L) and width (W) are measured on the two side panels and the L and W are the same length in standard Quarter Cylinder aquariums. The front viewing panel is a stunning continuous formed panel, bonded to the two sides. This tank is also referred to as "Corner Bow Front" aquarium.

The Quarter Cylinder can be customized in a variety of sizes and ways. For example, in an area where the walls of the corner space are not the same length, a curved front panel can be bonded to flat sides of unequal length creating a unique and stunning corner aquatic display.
L-Shape Aquarium Sizes
The L-Shape is a corner aquarium which economizes on space usage. Like the Pentagon aquarium, length (L) and width (W) of the L-Shape are measured on the two side panels and both panels are the same length. The front viewing panel is bent all around providing a seamless front viewing panel. The distance from the front panel to a back wall is 18" in the standard L-Shape tank.

Vista Aquarium Sizes
The Vista aquarium is a corner aquarium which takes advantage of acrylic's strength and formability to create a truly unique aquariums with seven viewing panels. Like the other corner aquariums (Pentagon, Quarter Cylinder and L-Shape) the length (L) and width (W) of the Vista are measured on the two side panels. Like other corner fish tank models both side panels of the Vista are the same length. The front viewing panel is bent all around providing a seamless front viewing panel.

Hexagon Aquarium Sizes
The Hexagon aquarium is favorite shape due to its efficient use of space and versatility of application against a wall, in a corner or as an all around view tank. The Hexagon has two measurements: width (W) which is the distance across the flat panels, as shown below, and the height.

The standard Hexagon fish tanks are made
from 1/4" acrylic. The standard Hexagon is available
with six clear sides or three clear sides and three
dark blue or black sides. The main parts of the body
of the standard Hexagon tank are bent providing
seamless viewing. Although the left-to-right "length" of the Hexagon is not typically indicated, this point-to-point measurement for the standard Hexagon aquarium is approximately 29".
The Hexagon is also frequently customized in width, side panel length or height. This shape is a very "price attractive" alternative to Cylinder aquariums in all around view applications.
Cylinder Aquarium Sizes
The Cylinder aquarium is one of the most popular aquatic displays due to its widespread us in restaurants, public aquariums and other public venues. Its use is primarily as an all round view tank. The Cylinder has two measurements: width (W) or diameter and the height.

The standard Cylinder aquarium is made from
1/4" "monolithic" acrylic cylinder.
This means there are no seams in the
cylinder Tenecor uses for its Cylinder tanks.
The Cylinder is frequently customized in diameter or height. However, cost increases significantly for these custom sizes. Tenecor has built custom Cylinder aquariums in diameters up to 96" and heights us to 72".
Bull Nose Aquarium Sizes
The Bull Nose is a new standard Tenecor aquarium which is very popular for "peninsula" applications or as a room divider. The length (L) is measured from the flat end panel to the tip of the bull nose end. The width (W) is measured across the flat end panel. Viewing is "three-sided" throughout the seamless bull nose shape.
